What is Rides by the River?
Rides by the River is a monthly outdoor car show held every third Saturday at Armature Works, one of Tampa's most iconic waterfront destinations. The event brings together hundreds of Tampa's hottest and most exotic cars, lining the riverside with everything from sleek supercars and vintage muscle cars to rare custom builds and prized import vehicles. This car show celebrates the full spectrum of car culture.

How to Show Your Car at Rides by the River
If you'd like to display your vehicle as part of the official car show Pier and Front Lawn spots must be registered. Prime spots are limited and fill up fast so be sure register early to secure your place among Tampa Bay's finest rides. Lot 1 spots are first come first serve.
Anyone on property must be able to stay for the duration of the show and must adhere to all property rules.
What to Expect
From sleek supercars to vintage muscle cars, rare imports to custom lowriders — every month brings a fresh lineup along the riverside. Local dealers and vendors round things out with the latest models and car-culture gear.
Night Rides
A few times a year, the show goes after dark. Same cars, different energy — string lights, skyline glow, and a more vibrant night crowd. Check the calendar above for upcoming dates.
Rides on the Rooftop
Rides by the River's sister event, held every other month on the first Tuesday, 6:30-8:30pm, at the Heights Parking Garage above Sprouts. Same laid-back, all-are-welcome vibe — just with a rooftop view and a smaller, more intimate lineup. No registration needed, just show up.

Yes. Rides by the River is completely free for spectators. No ticket, RSVP or registration is required. Just show up.

Park in the Armature Works general lots, Lot 2 and Lot 3. Lot 1 is reserved for show vehicles and is not available for spectator parking. If both lots fill, the Heights Garage above Sprouts takes overflow.
Is parking free at Rides by the River?
Parking is free during the morning shows. Night Rides shows follow standard Armature Works parking rates.
Do I need to register to attend?
No. Registration applies only to vehicles being displayed. Spectators can walk in at any point during the show.
What kinds of cars are at Rides by the River?
Expect exotics, classic muscle cars, hot rods, vintage collector cars, rare imports and custom builds. The lineup turns over every month, so no two shows look the same.
How do I register my car?
Pre-registration is required for Pier and Front Lawn spots, which are the prime riverside positions and fill quickly. Lot 1 spots are first come, first served at morning shows and do not require registration. Apply through the registration form on this page.
Can I show my car at the Night Rides after dark?
Yes, but every vehicle must be pre-registered. Lot 1 is not available on a first come, first served basis at evening shows.
Are kids welcome?
Yes. Rides by the River is a family-friendly, all-ages event, free and open to the public.
Is there food and drink at Rides by the River?
Yes. The Armature Works market opens at 8AM on morning show days. Buddy Brew, Graze and Flan Factory open at 8AM, followed by BnB and FitBowl at 9AM and Steelbach at 9:30AM. Provisions Coffee also serves on site at the show itself.
Is there coffee at the car show?
Yes. Provisions Coffee serves on site at the show, and Buddy Brew opens at 8AM inside the Armature Works market.
What stays open late during the Night Rides?
The Armature Works market is open until 12AM on Saturday nights, Stones Throw until 1AM and M.Bird until 3AM.
What happens if it rains?
Rides by the River runs rain or shine. Any cancellation would be announced on the Armature Works Instagram.
Where are the restrooms?
Guests can use the restrooms inside the Armature Works market and at Stones Throw.
What is the Night Rides show?
Several times a year Rides by the River runs after dark as the Night Rides show. Same cars and same riverfront, with string lights, the downtown skyline and a livelier night crowd. The next Night Rides shows are Saturday, October 17 from 7 to 10PM and Saturday, December 19 from 6 to 9PM.
What is Rides on the Rooftop?
Rides on the Rooftop is the sister show to Rides by the River, held every other month on the first Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30PM at the Heights Garage above Sprouts. It is a smaller and more relaxed lineup with a rooftop view over Tampa Heights. No registration is needed for spectators or vehicles.
When is the next Rides on the Rooftop?
The next Rides on the Rooftop is Tuesday, November 3 from 6:30 to 8:30PM. 2027 dates will be posted here once they are confirmed.
What happens if it rains during Rides on the Rooftop?
The show moves down one level inside the Heights Garage. It is not cancelled for rain.
